Knightcorp's Nikita Willis Takes Home WA Young Broker of the Year Award News Friday, 12 July 2024 We couldn’t be prouder to announce that our very own Nikita Willis, Commercial Manager at Knightcorp Insurance Brokers, has been honored with the Vero-partnered 2024 WA Young Broker of the Year Award. This significant achievement was announced at the 2024 NIBA WA Gala Lunch, an event attended by over 500 industry professionals at the Crown in Perth on Friday, 12th July. Nikita’s dedication to her clients, colleagues, and the broking profession truly sets her apart. Her active involvement in community activities and her relentless advocacy for small businesses made her a key contender for this special recognition. Shane Butcher, Vero’s State Distribution Manager for WA, praised Nikita, saying, “Nikita stood out in this year’s competitive field, showcasing remarkable commitment to her clients, colleagues, and the broking profession. Her involvement in community activities and her drive advocating for small businesses make her a deserving winner. Vero is a firm believer in nurturing the next generation of broking leaders, which is why we will continue to support young professionals like Nikita.” The award celebrates the incredible contributions of brokers under the age of 35 to the profession and the wider Australian community. NIBA CEO Richard Klipin also extended his congratulations, saying, “NIBA congratulates Nikita for her fantastic achievement, wishing her the very best of luck for the national awards in October. I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of all the finalists in how they’ve gone above and beyond for their clients and the impact they’ve made in giving back to the community.” Nikita said "I feel so grateful to have even been a finalist for this award, so to win has been an absolute gift, especially among such esteemed finalists. I could not have done it without the support of my Knightcorp family. They have been the best cheerleaders anyone could ask for. It will be a privilege to represent WA in the national awards in October." Nikita will now compete for the national Young Broker of the Year award at the 2024 NIBA Convention in Adelaide this October. The national winner will receive a tailored professional development experience valued at up to $10,000, courtesy of Vero. Knightcorp’s founder and Managing Director, Wayde Knight congratulated Nikita, saying “We are so proud of Nikita, she is an exceptional young broker, leader and manager. She is a great part of team Knightcorp and has a huge future with us and our customers. Well done, Nikita, you’re an absolute legend.” We also want to congratulate Chelsey Harris from EBM Insurance & Risk, who won the CGU-partnered 2024 WA Broker of the Year award, and the state finalists for the Young Broker of the Year, Casey Fenton from Sparksure and Chloe Walker from Oracle Group Insurance Brokers.
